Residence permit

A residence permit is issued to foreign citizens and stateless persons for a period of up to five years according to the period of the documents giving the right to cross the state border of Turkmenistan.
The residence permit is affixed with photographs of 25 and 45 years of age, as well as with a reference to minor children.
Foreign citizens and stateless persons who have obtained a residence permit in Turkmenistan arrive in Turkmenistan without obtaining a visa and stay there provided they have documents that give them the right to cross the state border of Turkmenistan. Foreign citizens and stateless persons who are temporarily staying in Turkmenistan and wish to obtain a residence permit in Turkmenistan must submit a request addressed to the President of Turkmenistan through the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
